The Phoenix Partnership (TPP) has developed a new electronic health record to be implemented in southwest England.
Peninsula Community Health, a not-for-profit company providing community-based health services to adults, will launch the system in its Countywide Podiatry Service and community nursing teams in Camborne, Redruth, Helston, Hayle, Falmouth, and Penzance. Further phases will follow throughout 2014/2015 to connect all community teams by April 2015, TPP said.
The project will use SystymOne, a new electronic health record designed to allow staff to electronically record and share patients' clinical care information safely and securely among a variety of healthcare professionals, according to the vendor.
The system uses electronic care plans, templates, and assessments to reduce data duplication and provides reporting on service data, such as referral reasons and waiting times, TPP said. Other benefits include results reporting and SMS text reminders.
