U.K. Radiological Congress (UKRC) has scheduled a day for school pupils living in or near Liverpool to learn more about radiology.
An invitation has been sent to schools in the Merseyside area to attend the UKRC Schools Taster Session on 12 June. As many as 150 local secondary schoolchildren between the ages of 13 and 14 years are likely to experience and learn about the basics of radiological science.
Among those scheduled to give demonstrations are GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, and the British Institute of Radiology, as well as information from National Health Service (NHS) Careers.
There also will be the "Big Bang" Science Fair as part of the interactive event to increase students' interest in science and medical applications.
