The Stent for Life Initiative is highlighting the growth of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) treatment in countries that participate in its programs at the EuroPCR meeting in Paris, the company said.
The Stent for Life Initiative seeks equal access to PPCI in heart attack patients across Europe. Its goal is to improve the delivery of care and patient access to PPCI and thus reduce deaths from acute coronary syndrome. Stent for Life hopes to increase the use of PPCI to more than 70% of all ST elevation myocardial infarction patients, the organization said.
