Cardiology catheter manufacturer Avinger has received CE Mark approval for its Ocelot catheter.
The catheter combines the use of the vendor's proprietary peripheral catheter designs incorporated with real-time optical coherence tomography for the treatment of peripheral artery disease.
Commercialization of Ocelot began this week in select European countries. Avinger reported that the first three commercial patient cases are scheduled to be performed in Italy and Germany in late September and early October.
