New MRI research lab in Germany to open in September

The University Medical Center Freiburg announced that it will open a new MRI research facility on 27 September.

p>It will feature a hyperpolarization laboratory, a histology unit, and a second animal MRI system.

The launch of the facility will begin with a free-of-charge day-long symposium, "New Horizons in Preclinical MRI," at which guest speakers and members of the Medical Physics Group of University Medical Center Freiburg will present new research developments. The symposium will also include a guided laboratory tour.

The event has been organized in collaboration with the European Network for Cell Imaging and Tracking Expertise (EXCITE), an organization whose objective is to develop and test new MRI and optical imaging methods and biomarkers for the purpose of cell therapy development.
