Image-guided therapy firm Brainlab has entered into an agreement to acquire Voyant Health, an orthopedics imaging informatics company based in Tel Aviv.
Voyant's core technology, TraumaCad, provides orthopedic surgeons with online access to patient images for surgical planning, while its VoyantLink facilitates Web-based image transfer among healthcare facilities.
The companies first started working together in July 2009. They expect the merger to expand the firm's reach into neurosurgery and radiotherapy markets.
