Nucletron partners with Erlangen University

Radiation oncology firm Nucletron of Veenendaal, the Netherlands, has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Erlangen University Hospital in Erlangen, Germany for the company's brachytherapy development programs.

Nucletron has also named the hospital as a European R&D center of excellence. The 1,400+ bed hospital treats more than 65,000 inpatients and 370,000 outpatients annually.

As part of the agreement, Erlangen University Hospital will have early access to Nucletron's newest technology for testing and early clinical application. Dr. Vratslav Strnad, professor of radiation oncology and head of brachytherapy, will head the collaborative projects with the company.
