Elekta wins Calif. contract

Swedish oncology firm Elekta announced installation of a full suite of its oncology products at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center, scheduled to open in February 2011 at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley.

The installation includes the Axesse for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), two Elekta Infinity systems for volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and Mosaiq oncology information system.
