Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany, has installed its Magnetom Aera 1.5-tesla MRI system at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester, U.K.
The hospital, part of the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, has become the first in the U.K. to install the new system from Siemens.
The system features a magnet bore diameter of 70 cm to accommodate a variety of patient sizes, reduce sedation rates, and minimize stress for patients.
