Paramed of Genoa, Italy, has unveiled MROpen, a general-purpose MRI system based on an open U-shaped cryogen-free superconducting magnet.
MROpen comes from a collaboration between Paramed and R&D partner ASG Superconductors, also in Genoa.
MROpen's U-shaped design is intended to optimize image quality in all anatomic regions through its transverse horizontal field. It also features a wide gantry and an open top to minimize claustrophobia and allow more flexibility in patient positioning.
