Radiopharmaceutical firm Ion Beam Applications (IBA) of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, has received financing from the European Investment Bank for 50 million euros ($72.5 million U.S.).
IBA plans to use the funding for its current research and development projects in the fields of cancer diagnosis and therapy between 2010 and 2013.
Most of the activities financed by the loan will be carried out in the IBA R&D centers in Louvain-la-Neuve and Fleurus, Belgium; Schwarzenbruck, Germany; Saclay, France; and Dulles, VA.
