CT laser mammography (CTLM) developer Imaging Diagnostic Systems (IDSI) has inked a multiyear distribution deal with CTLM Italia, a new company established to market IDSI's CTLM imaging system in Italy.
CTLM Italia has organized a network of 14 sales locations across Italy, and is supported by an in-country marketing group, according to IDSI.
IDSI is seeking premarket approval (PMA) for its CTLM system from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The device is the first patented breast imaging system that does not require compression or radiation, and uses laser technology and patented algorithms to create 3D images of the breast, according to the Plantation, FL-based company.
