Speech recognition firm Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, has installed its SpeechMagic package at a London healthcare facility, the company said.
HCA International has 12 sites in central London and conducts 330,000 radiology exams per year.
SpeechMagic reduces average report creation times from 24 hours to two hours and 40 minutes, according to Nuance. Adoption levels among HCA radiologists surpassed the initial goal of 60% by the end of the project, and with two-thirds of the rollout complete, more than 96% of the facility's dictations are already processed through speech recognition, Nuance said.
