A 9% gain in international sales helped Italian ultrasound vendor Esaote of Genoa grow revenue in 2008 (end-December 31).
Consolidated sales for the year increased 5% to 294.7 million euros ($383.1 million U.S.), compared with 280 million euros ($363 million U.S.) in 2007. Total net consolidated profit totaled 7.4 million euros ($9.6 million U.S.).
Esaote expects additional sales growth in 2009 with the launch of new products in ultrasound and MRI, the company said.
