Radiation oncology firm Nucletron of Veenendaal, the Netherlands, enjoyed strong financial results over the first half of 2010.
Net sales amounted to 57 million euros ($72.6 million U.S.), an 11.3% increase compared to 51.2 million euros ($65.2 million U.S.) during the first half of 2009. Nucletron attributed the results to growth in the brachytherapy market: Its product sales grew 27% compared to 2009.
The company also has appointed Peter Kingma as its new executive vice president of global sales and service. Kingma has held various positions at Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, including global vice president of sales and marketing for CT in Germany and managing director in Australia and New Zealand. His last position with Siemens was vice president and business manager for the company's U.S. CT division.
