Nucletron spins off from Delft

Radiotherapy provider Nucletron of Veenendaal, the Netherlands, announced that it has completed a management buyout from Delft Instruments, and as a result has become an independent company solely dedicated to radiation oncology.

Established in 1974, Nucletron has operated as several entities in the field of radiation oncology; its most recent incarnation was created under Delft in 1994 by the merger of Nucletron and Oldelft Simulix. In 2003, Nucletron integrated the Helax and Theratronics treatment planning and management packages from MDS Nordion into its product line to create Oncentra MasterPlan and Oncentra Information Management.
