Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, will supply two Danish cancer centers with five medical linear accelerators.
Three Clinac linear accelerators will be installed at Aalborg University Hospital in northern Denmark, while Aarhus University Hospital in Jutland will get a Trilogy all-in-one linear accelerator and two Clinac iX units with On-Board Imager devices for advanced image-guided radiotherapy.
The Trilogy system will be used for research and clinical treatments such as cranial stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and image-guided adaptive radiotherapy (IGART).
