Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, will supply advanced radiotherapy equipment to the Dr. Bernard Verbeeten Institute (BVI) in Tilburg, Netherlands.
BVI has ordered five medical linear accelerators, including Varian's Trilogy linear accelerators for BVI's Tilburg headquarters. Two accelerators will be installed at two new satellite centers in Breda and Den Bosch. Construction on those two facilities is scheduled to start next year.
The Trilogy linear accelerator will be installed in Tilburg in December. All five systems will be in place and operating by the summer of 2009, according to Varian.
