GE buys Image Diagnost

GE Healthcare has purchased German breast cancer IT developer Image Diagnost International.

Image Diagnost of Munich develops integrated software packages for mammography workflow and image processing, according to GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K. The company was founded in 2005 and has completed more than 150 installations of its software suites.

The company has filed for U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for its MammoWorkstation package. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
