Radiation therapy firm Accuray has won a contract for its CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system with a hospital in the Czech Republic, the Sunnyvale, CA-based vendor said.
University Hospital Ostrava (UHO) Clinic of Oncology in Ostrava-Poruba is part of a network of 13 specialized oncology centers in the Czech Republic and is the largest oncology department in the Moravian-Silesian region, according to Accuray.
It has installed the CyberKnife system in a new, dedicated building; the hospital's clinical program aims to treat mainly extracranial indications including lung, liver, and prostate, Accuray said.
