GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has signed an agreement with an IT services provider in Qatar covering the systems integration of GE Centricity healthcare IT software, including its Centricity Enterprise package.
GE inked the deal with Doha-based Malomatia, which will help GE support its customer base in the Middle East, as well as help implement GE's Digital Day One initiative of assisting new hospitals in going digital on their first day of operation. Malomatia will also work with the joint venture that GE announced with the Qatar Foundation in March.
GE and Malomatia will initially focus on certification of Malomatia engineers on Centricity Enterprise and Qatari customers, but the companies expect to broaden coverage across the Middle East and Africa shortly thereafter.
