The European outsourcing market for healthcare IT could grow by more than 50% to $1.09 billion in 2015.
That forecast comes from a new report from San Antonio market research firm Frost & Sullivan, which tallied revenue of $710 million in 2008.
The report noted that IT outsourcing services are increasingly being considered as a business strategy that provides access to best-in-class processes and cost predictability.
The changing demands and trends in healthcare, the study continued, also are forcing healthcare organizations to acknowledge the increasing role that outsourcing can play in improving effectiveness, competitiveness, and IT expertise, as well as in reducing business costs.
