Abbott takes Xience Prime stent overseas

Abbott Laboratories has launched its Xience Prime drug-eluting coronary stent system in Europe and in select countries in Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

The Abbott Park, IL-based firm received the European CE Mark for Xience Prime in June. Xience Prime is not yet available in the U.S.
