Women's imaging vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, has received a final order for 14 Selenia digital mammography systems with service contracts from a Netherlands dealer, the company said.
The order is the last of four from the Netherlands Breast Cancer Screening Tender purchased through Tromp Medical, Hologic's Dutch dealer.
The tender process started in 2006 with three digital mammography and three computed radiography vendors bidding for the business, Hologic said. Hologic was awarded 100% of the digital mammography systems in the tender. The last of the more than 65 digital mammography systems awarded under the agreement will be installed by the end of 2010.
