Image-guided therapy firm BrainLab has won a patent infringement lawsuit against Medtronic of Minneapolis, according to the Munich, Germany-based firm.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado awarded the company $4.38 million in attorney fees, costs, and expenses from Medtronic. The suit, filed by Medtronic against BrainLab in 1998, was dismissed by the court in February 2006. Medtronic and its counsel may appeal the decision, BrainLab said.
