Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has installed a new RIS mammography module in Denmark, the company announced.
The module is being used for mammography screening administration in three of Denmark's five regions, and its development was initiated by Ringsted Sygehus in the Sjaelland Region, following a successful bid for government funding to finance the project.
The new module includes double-blind reading capability and customized order entry. It can be configured to enable the extraction of statistical data for workflow analysis, research, and improved administration. In addition to being installed at Ringsted Sygehus, it also is now installed at Rigshospitalet/Herlev in the Hovedstaden Region and Arhus Sygehus in the Midtjylland Region; the three regions manage 60% of all mammography screening in Denmark.
