Grundig expands product capabilities

German dictation technology provider Grundig Business Systems digital products now support the Thin Clients from IGEL Technology of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany, at Linux 2.4 with Citrix infrastructures for application provision.

The Bayreuth, Germany-based firm's technology is designed to help large networks increase data security and central administration of the application and process data on the Linux Thin Client as if the software were directly on the computer.

The central application also is designed to improve data protection, as personal information is stored only in protected data centers and communication between clients and the server is encrypted.
