Ultrasound technology developer Exact Imaging has launched a new device that combines microultrasound with MRI.
FusionVu runs on the same platform as the company's ExactVu microultrasound system for prostate imaging and biopsy. It uses an approach Exact Imaging calls Cognitive Assist, which allows urologists to import radiological reports from MRI scans or import the annotated MR images themselves; these images can then be aligned with live ExactVu microultrasound images, according to the firm.
Exact Imaging plans to highlight FusionVu at the upcoming European Association of Urology (EAU) meeting in London.
