Samsung Medison is promoting new products at this week's World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Rome.
The company is highlighting its Crystal Clear ultrasound system that provides diagnostic tools for different stages of women's health, including family planning, healthy pregnancy and birth, gynecology, and breast health.
In collaboration with the International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) group, Samsung has incorporated the ADNEX (assessment of different neoplasias in the adnexa) decision support tool for classifying ovarian tumors into its ultrasound system. The ADNEX model classifies ovarian masses as benign or malignant and also subclassifies malignancies. Once the ultrasound variables have been entered into the model, ADNEX automatically gives a graphical representation of the risks of ovarian cancer to the clinician, according to the vendor.
Also, Samsung has introduced new Crystal Vue Flow, an advanced 3D volume rendering technology. It adds flow information that shows vascular structures with increased depth perception and demonstrates vessels in different imaging planes, the company said.
