Esaote has launched a new configuration of its S-scan MRI system for musculoskeletal imaging, called S-Scan Open.
S-Scan Open includes new hardware and a software platform that includes image optimization algorithms and optimized clinical protocols (for MRIs with the eXP package) that significantly reduce scan times, the company said.
S-scan Open also features a new open knee coil designed to improve experiences for both the operator and the patient. The scanner’s user interface meets the latest Microsoft Office standards as well as financial and environmental sustainability requirements based on reduced energy consumption.
The S-scan Open has received the CE Mark in Europe and is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the U.S., with registration processes in other countries underway, Esaote added.
