Voyageur is highlighting the findings of a study that compared the performance of its SmoothX barium contrast to Readi-Cat 2 for CT exams of patients with dysphagia.
The study showed that 75% of patients favored SmoothX for drinkability and taste, and it performed comparably to Readi-Cat 2 when it came to clarity of CT images.
The company plans to prepare a white paper that will analyze the research and explore the effectiveness of SmoothX for abdominal CT diagnostic imaging procedures.
Voyageur also said it is developing four additional barium contrast products to add to its line.
