Fujifilm Sonosite recently launched its Sonosite LX point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) system, as well as its T8-3 transesophageal transducer and cardiac resuscitation exam type.
The company said the LX system features its largest clinical image and a 21.3-inch (54.1-cm) monitor that extends, rotates, and tilts. It also said the system features real-time image and information sharing with patients, other clinicians, residents, and other hospital staff.
The T8-3 transducer, meanwhile, allows clinicians to provide transesophageal ultrasound at the point of care. This includes performing cardiac imaging repeatedly regardless of patient condition or body habitus and consuming low power to maintain temperature while monitoring over time.
The company said the new system and transducer are now available in Canada, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to launch in Europe, China, and Japan in the future.
