GE Healthcare has partnered with Australian cancer and cardiac care company GenesisCare to provide imaging services and equipment to more than 440 treatment centers worldwide.

Through the partnership, GE will supply and service CT, MRI, PET/CT, SPECT, digital mammography, and ultrasound equipment to GenesisCare treatment centers in the U.S., U.K., Australia, and Spain. The companies also announced that they are considering future research partnerships that leverage their combined strengths in cancer and cardiovascular treatment, imaging, and digital infrastructure.

The new partnership comes after GenesisCare closed a deal in May to acquire U.S.-based radiation therapy and integrated cancer treatment provider 21st Century Oncology, solidifying its place as one of the largest networks of integrated oncology care in the world. GenesisCare serves 400,00 patients in more than 440 locations, the company noted.
