Shine signs Czech license agreement

Medical isotope firm Shine Medical Technologies has signed an intellectual property license agreement with the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IOCB Prague).

Under terms of the deal, Shine will have exclusive license to a method for separating rare earth elements. The company plans to use the method to produce lutetium-177 (Lu-177) for cancer treatment at its new facility in Janesville, WI.
