Agfa-Gevaert Group reported that revenue for its Agfa HealthCare business remained relatively flat in the 2016 calendar year, compared with 2015.
Revenue decreased by 0.8% to 1.09 billion euros ($1.14 billion U.S.) last year, compared with 1.099 billion euros ($1.15 billion) in 2015. Recurring earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were 146.5 million euros ($154.5 million) before restructuring and nonrecurring items, up 9.3% from 134 million euros ($141.3 million) in 2015.
Within its IT segment, both the HealthCare Information Solutions and the Imaging IT Solutions businesses performed strongly throughout the year, while the Direct Radiography business in Agfa's Imaging segment posted solid growth figures, according to the company.
Agfa HealthCare closed out 2016 with 5% revenue growth in the fourth quarter. Revenue totaled 288 million euros ($302 million), compared with 275 million euros ($288 million) in the fourth quarter of 2015. Recurring EBITDA was 43.6 million euros ($46 million), up 27.5% from 34.2 million euros ($36 million) in the corresponding quarter of 2015.
