Radiation oncology firm Elekta chose this week's European Society for Therapeutic Radiation & Oncology (ESTRO 35) meeting in Turin, Italy, to launch its latest version of its Monaco treatment planning software.
Elekta stated Monaco version 5.11 offers performance enhancements that deliver calculation speeds up to four times faster than previous versions.
Monaco templates allow users to import and export treatment plans easily, which facilitates sharing across departments and organizations, the company said. The ability to create multiple prescription plans at the same time also speeds planning time and improved data sharing provides opportunities to optimize individual treatment plans, Elekta said.
