Agfa HealthCare has secured a contract with a Canadian hospital network for its DR 600 direct radiography (DR) system.
Halton Healthcare chose the units to be installed in four new direct radiography rooms that will open as part of an expansion of Milton District Hospital, which is one of three community hospitals in the greater Toronto area in Halton's network.
DR 600 features Agfa's ZeroForce technology, which allows for manual movement of the tube head in all directions, the company said. It comes with a choice of fixed, tethered, or wireless detectors based on either cesium iodide or gadolinium oxy-sulphide.
Milton District Hospital's expansion is expected to be completed by spring of 2017, and the four DR rooms will be available for use in the fall, Agfa said.
