Radiation oncology firm Varian Medical Systems will show its line of PaxScan digital image detectors, imaging software, and x-ray tubes this week at Medica 2014 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Among the offers will be the PaxScan 4336W wireless flat panel x-ray detector, which features Varian's 16-bit data acquisition for enhanced image acquisition. The cassette-sized, portable detector is optimized for dose efficiency and very low electronic noise.
The new custom-designed B-147 x-ray tube incorporates a heat exchanger and housing in a single unit. The diagnostic air-cooled housing is designed to dissipate a more significant amount of heat than earlier tube designs. The housing also is designed to fit into a variety of OEM system configurations and is suitable for use in stationary radiography/fluoroscopy or fixed C-arm systems.
Varian also will show new digital radiography imaging software for installation into new or existing radiographic rooms or mobile x-ray systems to support multiple flat panel detectors.
