Radiation oncology firm Elekta has signed an agreement with Uppsala University Hospital in Uppsala, Sweden to collaborate on new cancer care technology, the company said.
Elekta and the hospital will investigate the field of personalized cancer care by combining MRI and/or PET technology with radiation therapy. Through this joint research agreement, Uppsala hopes to become the first hospital in Sweden to install a clinical system that integrates the modalities, according to Elekta.
