Swedish radiation therapy firms ScandiDos and C-Rad have decided to terminate their cooperation in the North American market.
The two companies launched the partnership in June 2013, entering into a mutual distribution agreement for the other company's products. ScandiDos offers products in dosimetry and quality assurance for radiation therapy sites, while C-Rad markets patient positioning products.
However, C-Rad has begun to sell its own quality assurance imaging product, which has prompted ScandiDos to look upon the firm as a competitor, according to a statement from ScandiDos. The companies will now market and sell via their individual organizations in North America, and will focus resources on their own products. Ongoing sales projects that developed during the cooperation will be finalized by the end of July.
