Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems has joined the European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR).
The enrollment follows Varian joining COCIR China last year. Varian operates manufacturing facilities in Europe and China, as well as in the U.S.
Andrew Whitman, vice president of government affairs for Varian, said the decision comes as the company expands its operations and its customer base in Europe.
