Toshiba prepares to unveil new MRI system at JFR

Toshiba Medical Systems plans to launch a new 1.5-tesla MRI unit at the upcoming Journées Françaises de Radiologie (JFR) in Paris, the company said.

Vantage Elan includes new magnet technology, as well as Toshiba's Pianissimo technique, which reduces noise for both patient and operator. The scanner also includes Octave Speeder, which allows for easier patient setup, according to Toshiba.

All of Toshiba's noncontrast applications, available on its other Vantage scanners, are also available on Vantage Elan, so that users can perform full-body noncontrast MR angiography exams, Toshiba said.
