The Righospitalet of Copenhagen University Hospital's Biograph mMR PET/MR system from Siemens Healthcare will be upgraded with a hyperpolarizator, hospital management has announced.
The new technology being installed on the machine labels specific biological substances to advanced contrast agents used to diagnose cancer. With these hyperpolarized contrast agents, the signals from the scanner can be further strengthened, allowing for better diagnosis and treatment.
The new hyperpolarizator has been financed by the Capital Region of Denmark.
