GE Healthcare announced that the French Ministry of Health has contracted with the Orange-GE Healthcare consortium to deliver cloud-based PACS and archive services to the île de France region.
Thirty hospitals are within the scope of the first project phase, which will use a per-exam payment model for its RIS, PACS, and archiving services. These GE Healthcare products will be combined with a cloud infrastructure from telecommunications services provider Orange. Hôspital Simone Veil in Eaubonne will be the first hospital to receive the service.
