Siemens Healthcare has installed its Artis zee system at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Lancashire, U.K. The floor-mounted system with a 20 x 20 detector is being used for interventional cardiology in the hospital's newly opened interventional laboratory.
The Artis zee offers fast image acquisition and postprocessing with high system reliability, and its compact design also allows flexible positioning for easy patient access. The ergonomically designed tableside controls streamline workflow and increase efficiency, according to the company. The system also comes with the new Megalix CAT Plus tube featuring unique flat emitter technology that allows fluoroscopy of up to 250 mA, making it ideal for cardiac interventional exams.
