Agfa HealthCare is featuring a new DX-D 100 mobile digital radiography (DR) unit with a wireless detector at this week's RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.
DX-D 100 features a wireless detector for flexibility in mobile environments such as intensive care units (ICUs), emergency departments, operating rooms, or bedside examinations, according to Agfa.
The company is also highlighting its DX-D 300 unit, which includes a motorized U-arm; the work-in-progress DX-D 400 system, which offers facilities a way to easily upgrade to digital and can be used with film cassettes, DR, and computed radiography (CR); DX-D 600, an automated ceiling-mounted direct digital x-ray room; and DX-D 800, a digital x-ray room that combines fluoroscopy, radiography, and direct exposures, Agfa said.
Agfa also announced at the RSNA meeting that its Xero zero-footprint image viewer is now available with IMPAX 6.5 for facilities worldwide. The viewer employs Web 2.0 standard integration and visualization methods to provide secure access to standard healthcare data on any standard operating system or browser, according to Agfa. It receives all the information needed in real-time from the image source, so there are no data synchronization issues or additional databases or caches to manage.
