U.K. PACS provider Insignia Medical Systems has installed its software at Oxford University Hospitals National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust.
The hospital network consists of nine sites across the county and performs more than 500,000 imaging examinations per year. Insignia will provide its full suite of PACS software, including the InSight 4D Viewer, regional sharing, and advanced home-reporting services.
The migration of Oxford's historical data will be one of the largest undertaken in the U.K., with more than 100 TB of data being transferred, Insignia said.
In other company news, the firm has deployed its first integrated PACS and reporting system at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, which covers Reading, Bracknell, Townlands, and West Berkshire. The trust collectively manages 745 beds and treats more than 640,000 patients per year.
The migration of the 40 TB of historical data from the trust's previous PACS took place in less than six months, with the new system going live in February.
