Icometrix of Leuven, Belgium, has secured a current procedural terminology (CPT) code for its AI-related brain MRI quantification software from the American Medical Association (AMA).
The software, which has been granted 510(k) clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, aims to assist clinicians to diagnose, monitor, and assess treatment response for brain disorders.
With the CPT code, the company said that hospitals and imaging centers can submit claims for AI-based analysis of brain MRI scans with the Icometrix technology.
