Oxipit is promoting the results of a study that shows its autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) application ChestLink misses no critical findings. The preprint of the study was released on May 25.
Researchers at Oulu University Hospital found that the ChestLink software identified normal studies with 99.8% sensitivity and specificity of 36.4%, with a "minimal" number of false negatives and no critical findings missed. The application analyzed 10,000 chest x-rays of Finnish primary healthcare patients.
Researchers wrote that using AI to rule out normal studies could optimize the use of resources in healthcare, such as radiology workforces.
