Big-data visualization software developer Zebra Medical Vision has secured a contract with an Indian hospital network to provide its artificial intelligence (AI) software for COVID-19 disease detection and progression tracking.
Apollo Radiology International of Hyderabad will integrate Zebra Medical's AI1 platform into its dedicated COVID-19 reporting center, which reviews and analyzes all CT scans received in its hospitals, Zebra Medical said. AI1 identifies and quantifies suspected COVID-19 findings on both contrast and noncontrast chest CT exams.
India has more than 190,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and more than 5,000 deaths, according to Zebra Medical.
